How Do I Get Songs On My Ipod?

I am new at the whole ipod thing. I am planning on getting an ipod shuffle. I want to put music I already ripped to my computer on my ipod. Do I have to go buy music from itunes? Is there not a way to transfer songs from my computer to the ipod?

I don’t think you HAVE to buy music on iTunes. To put music on the iPod, (this is for Windows), go to Windows media player. Then, click on which list you want to show on the right side of the screen. Select the “sync” one. Drag the songs you want to put on the iPod over to the sync list. When you’re done, click on “Sync” at the top of the page. it will show your list. Click on “start sync”. Then your songs should be copied to you iPod!

    Get iTunes
Import your albums using the program
Manually pull your songs to the tab on the left that shows an icon representing your shuffle
    Wait for it to update
    Voila!
You have songs on your Shuffle
You do not need to buy songs if you own them on CD.
Contrary to what was said above: for a shuffle you don’t need a cable - it plugs directly into your PC’s USB port.

You plug your ipod on your computer and then insert a cd and then you will see the names of the songs on your cd. You just drag all of it on your music folder located on the left side.
