I'd get a free one from http://cameras.santasgiftsallyear.com Just complete a few offers and refer a few friends, and get the camera sent to your door.

Olympus makes the SW series that are moderatly shock and water proof. Otherwise look for a camera with a neck strap and use it. And perhaps one of those $5 padded cases as well.

Compact cameras are designed to be small and portable; the smallest are described as subcompacts or "ultra-compacts". Compact cameras are usually designed to be easy to use, sacrificing advanced features and picture quality for compactness and simplicity; images can usually only be stored using Lossy compression (JPEG). Most have a built-in flash usually of low power, sufficient for nearby subjects.
I have the best & cheapest digital-camera that is of 2.1 MP high quality color image >>>>> http://www.agritura.com/product_info.php…

DSC-W110 has a certain masculine aesthetic. Sony has denied it the colour options made available in its W-series comrades, which can be picked up in various hues, such as pink, red and gold. The DSC-W110 has instead been restricted to the tech staples of black and silver. The brushed finish on the DSC-W110 is welcome, as fingerprint marks and smudges do not show up on its surface.http://hubpages.com/_yaans/hub/Sony-Cybe…
